Happy Friday-eve! (it’s definitely a thing)
I don’t know about you, but this week has seemed to take for.ev.errrr! I swear all day yesterday I thought it was Thursday.
I think it’s time for another edition of Thinking Out Loud Thursdays. It’s that time of the week where I spew whatever random thoughts are bouncing around my head, and cross my fingers you’ll want to stick around.
1.I just love family time. Tuesday night, my youngest brother had a basketball game in town. John and I went to cheer him (and my dad – he coaches) on. Following the game we went to dinner with my parents and my brother. It was so great to get random weeknight family time. Not to mention, we ate at Zoe’s Kitchen. One of my all-time favorite places. Yum!
Lean Turkey Pita + Fruit + Baked Lays
2. I love Bath and Body Works candles. Specifically, the leaves scent. Like, I hoard them. They are a seasonal scent and only available in the fall. But, I found this Main Stays brand scent at Wal-Mart over the weekend, and it smells just like the Leaves scent. I burn these wax cubes in my scentsy burner in my classroom. I can’t wait to grab a candle for around the house. It makes me wonder if the other scents in this line mimic other B&BW scents?
3.Chocolate makes everything better, right? Especially when it comes to learning new math concepts, like fractions. Hershey bars for the win!
4.Something that has become somewhat of a nightly tradition? Blogging, reading blogs, and unwinding after work/before making dinner next to a nice, warm, cozy fire. It seriously doesn’t get much better. It hasn’t been as cold these past few nights, so we haven’t built a fire. But I’m anxiously awaiting the next night where it’s cold enough to justify one. I just love fires in the fireplace!
5.Confession: I haven’t done very good at all with my goal of getting more sleep. I know it’s going to take some change, on my part, in routine. It’s crazy how hard it is to break habits, huh? I’m totally feeling the lack of sleep, though, so I’m definitely still working on it.
6.I’m making these spinach and ricotta stuffed shells tonight (I’m typing this up on Wednesday evening), and am really looking forward to dinner. I’ve made them once before, and they were delicious.
7.If you’re watching the bachelor, what are your thoughts so far? As much as I want to like Chris, jury’s still out. He seems to be letting girls stick around who I’m not so sure about. We’ll see…
8.My sister’s wedding is in just a little over 2 months, and I’m in bachelorette party planning mode. What are some of the most fun games, activities, etc. that you’ve been a part of at bachelorette and wedding parties? I want it to be special, memorable, and FUN!
Only 2 more work days until the (three day, if you’re off for MLK day) weekend!
Make it a great one!
1. Bachelorette/wedding party ideas? I’d love to hear any suggestions you have!
2. How have you done with any new year’s resolutions/goals you set for yourself?
3. What are your favorite candle brands/scents?
