So Monday was one heck of a crazy busy day. I completely ran out of time to put together the post I’d planned. However, I still want to share some of the details from Kathryn’s Bachelorette weekend with you. So, you’re getting the abridged version today.
I used a stencil to make a Miss to Mrs. Banner in Kathryn’s wedding colors.
Our snacks were all wedding themed. I used the sentence starter “Kathryn and Jackson…,” and each snack finished the sentence.
I used chalkboard stickers and white paint pens to make the bride and each bridesmaid a mason jar glass to use throughout the weekend. I also found the pink paper straws at Hobby Lobby and fell in love with them. So cute!
After dinner Friday night, we went to a casino that is on an Indian reservation near the lake house we stayed at (gambling is illegal in Alabama). It was quite the experience and different than what we might normally do. But definitely fun!
Saturday morning’s brunch was delicious! We had a yogurt bar with vanilla and strawberry greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola. I also made sausage balls to snack on and Cinnabon brand cinnamon rolls.
Saturday was spent hanging out, playing games, and throwing a lingerie shower for the bride.
Saturday night, we enjoyed a homemade dinner in, time around the fire pit out back, and lots of wedding movies like Father of the Bride (my favorite), Bride Wars, and 27 Dresses.
We also had some photo booth fun throughout the weekend. My other sister, Anna, made the most adorable props for us to use. It was a hit!
After another delicious breakfast on Sunday morning, I cleaned while the other girls hung out. We then packed up and headed home in the early afternoon.
It was a fun weekend, and according to the bride, exactly the laid back, relaxing weekend full of lots of time with friends, that she wanted.
We did have one small mishap…which is kind of funny to look back on. The house where we stayed had no water. What?! I know! It had been extremely cold the night before, and the water pipes busted under the house. I washed lots of dishes in bottled water. And we had to constantly put water in the toilet tank to flush. Needless to say, we took quite a few trips to Walmart for water jugs. It was an adventure!
Kathryn, I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I can’t believe your wedding is 25 days away!!!
1. Do you enjoy decorating for parties? I love “hostess-ing!”
2. Have you ever been to a casino?
