Man, I have been so confused all week long as to what day it is. Don’t get me wrong, I loved having Monday off for the President’s Day holiday, it’s just made me one confused chick!
But, I am still more than ready for the weekend. I’ve got an exciting one ahead of me. This weekend is my little sister’s Bachelorette Party! I can’t believe my baby sister is getting married in 1 month! Needless to say, as the matron of honor, I’ve been running around like a crazy person trying to gather everything we’ll need, put the finishing touches on a few decorations, and make sure everything is ready to go for a weekend of fun.
I’ve got lots to do before this evening rolls around, however, I still want to pop in to share a few of my favorites from the week.
Baking is one of my all-time favorite activities. There is nothing better to me than getting into the kitchen, making a big ole mess, jamming out to some music, while baking up some yummy treats. I got a chance to do just that last night. It was glorious! Perfect de-stressor for a hectic week.
So just what was I baking up? These adorable cookies for the bachelorette party! So cute, right? I found bikini cookie cutters on clearance and knew I had to grab them. I’m just sharing a peek now; I’ll share the fully decorated ones after this weekend.
Creme Caramel Coffee by World Market
I shared on Monday that John gave me a bag of this coffee for Valentine’s Day. While I don’t prefer to have flavored coffee everyday, I’ve been enjoying this coffee a few days this week. It’s a delicious change from the regular black + sweetener route that I usually go.
Fires on Cold Nights
This is not the first time I’ve mentioned how much I love a warm, cozy fire. After a long day, there is really nothing better on a cold night. With the freezing temps we’ve had this week, you’d better believe I’ve had a fire burning. I love cuddling up with my husband after dinner, watching something on tv, with a warm fire burning. It’s the simple things that make me happiest!
3 Day Weekends
With Monday’s holiday, last weekend was a 3 day weekend, and it was wonderful. It was so nice to enjoy Sunday afternoon without having to prepare anything, do any grading, or even any household chores, since I knew I’d have the days Monday to get those things done.
Well, I have a confession. I have another 3 day weekend this weekend. Although, this one is not going to be quite as relaxing, unfortunately. I’m looking forward to it, nevertheless. It’s going to be a fun celebration of my sister’s upcoming wedding.
I took a personal day off of work today to give myself plenty of time to gather everything for the weekend, prepare a few last minute dishes and decorations, and get to the bachelorette party location to ready for the weekend before the bride to be arrives.
I’ll be back Monday with a full re-cap of the weekend. I can’t wait to share all the details!
Have a wonderfully relaxing weekend!
