How it got to be one full week since I posted, I’m not sure. Even the best intentions get pushed aside for family time and the business of life. Eh, it happens…
Moving right along, I want to share our Thanksgiving + weekend (a day late). It was so great to spend a few days in John’s hometown with his family, and not have to rush off.
His sister, her husband, and our sweet niece were able to stay for a few days too. It was some great family time.
Miss K loves her Uncle John!
Thanksgiving was full of family and food, just as it should be.
I contributed a few desserts, including this Snickers Caramel-Apple Triffle. Deeeelish!
On Saturday, we were lucky enough to attend the Iron Bowl, Alabama vs. Auburn. It is touted as one of the, if not THE, biggest rivalry in all of college football. As graduates and life long fans of the University of Alabama, John and I were super excited for the big game!
It was a little tense during the 2nd and 3rd quarters, but Alabama managed to pull off a victory!
Some post-game excitement!
The Alabama victory definitely helped to soften the blow of not arriving back at our house until 3am Sunday morning!
On Sunday, we ran errands to ready ourselves for the week ahead, and began decorating for Christmas. I just love Christmas time! While I’m still not completely finished putting up decorations, here’s a peek at a few things I do have up.
Sunday also included a trip to my classroom to put up my classroom tree. While there, John had fun putting out my Elf on the Shelf for the kids to find on Monday morning. They were beyond excited to see him and give hime a name, yesterday. After much deliberation and voting, we settled on the name Cookie. I have some boys who weren’t too excited about that name.
Finally, I’m excited because the Proactive+ I ordered arrived yesterday. I’m not sure what’s been going on with my skin lately, but I feel like I’m 12 again. For some reason it has decided to break out like crazy again. My sister-in-law convinced me to give Proactive+ a go, and I figured it couldn’t hurt to treat myself to a 30 day supply. I’ll be sure to let you know how it works.
And with that, I’m off for a busy Tuesday!
1. Do you have your Christmas decorations up and finished?
2. Have you ever tried Proactive? If you have acne prone skin, what works best for you?
3. How have you treated yourself lately?
