Um, so wow. I don’t even know what to say…
Has it really been almost a month since I last blogged?! While I had no intention of leaving you high and dry for quite so long, it was a much needed break. Whenever I found myself with free time, honestly, typing up a post was near the bottom of the list of things I wanted to do.
It happens, though, right? We’d been so incredibly busy, beginning with the holidays and continuing on through the first few months of the year, that when things finally began to wind down, I think I just crashed. But I’m up and back at ’em. I’ve missed blogging and interacting with this community!
So rather than try to catch up up on all that’s been going on since I last posted, I’ll just highlight some of my favorite moments and things from he past few weeks. (<–thanks for the link ups Heather, Clare, and Katie!)
When I last left you, it was wedding week. For my sister, to be clear. Some of my most favorite moments definitely came from her wedding week and weekend.
Pre-Bridesmaid Luncheon Mani/Pedis
Getting hair done on the big day!
Photos at my parent’s (and my childhood) home
Walking into the reception – you’d never know it was raining!
Favorite Snack Foods
Still been loving my Chocolate Cupcake Luna bars
I’ve also been digging Tribe hummus in both Classic Smooth and Everything flavors.
This Chicken Enchilada Casserole. You guys, this was so delicious! So good in fact, I didn’t take a picture of it. So here’s the stock picture from Midwest Living. Mine definitely didn’t look quite as pretty, but who cares? It was yummy!
It has been in the 70s, 80s, and even some upper 80s lately and I’ve been loving every.single.minute. #warmweatherlover It’s been so fun to pull out my shorts, tanks, sundresses, and sleeveless tops. Ahhh…summertime is so close!
Selfie in the bathroom at work. No shame.
Flowers and Gardening
In keeping with the Spring/Summer theme – I’ve been loving all the flowers blooming in yards, trees budding, and all of the color!
John and I got our gardening on last weekend. I’m so excited for our little flower garden to flourish and thicken up. Fingers crossed for a gorgeous flower garden to enjoy all summer!
After 9 (!!!) weekends out of town, last weekend John and I decided to stay home for the Easter holiday and truly enjoy some one on one time together and get in some much needed rest and relaxation. Oh my..it was SO nice. Although we missed our families lots, it was a refreshing and desperately needed weekend to catch our breath.
In all honesty, I didn’t take hardly any pictures at all over the past few weeks. I truly focused on the things that are most important to me…marriage, relationships, health, rest…during my free time.
But, as I said, I missed blogging a lot and really missed interacting with you. Hopefully you’ve hung around and will continue to read this little ole blog. You have no idea how much I value the connections I’ve made in this little community.
1.What have YOU been up to?
2. When’s the last time you needed a break/had a season of rest?
