Hi guys! Happy Monday!
I’m feeling rejuvenated and ready for the busy week ahead thanks to a much needed weekend at home. It’s been over a month since the last time that happened!
I hated not to be able to post both Thursday and Friday, but I didn’t get home until after 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and since I didn’t plan ahead (#fail), I had nothing ready to go, and no time to blog.
I’m running short on time again tonight (Sunday), but I do want to share a bit from Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I hate to blog and run, but, such is life these days.
My mom came to read to my class for Read Across America week. She brought me these lovely flowers from her house. Just one more reminder that spring is (hopefully) on the way!
She also made these adorable cake pops for my kiddos. They went along with the book she read, Horton Hears a Who. They are truffula trees! If you’ve read the book/seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about.
My students were pumped!
My hubby was gone Friday night for my sister’s fiancé’s Bachelor party. I built myself a fire, turned on an old Hallmark movie we had on the DVR, and gave myself an early bedtime. I might be a grandma, but it was a lovely Friday night…I was pooped!
I began my morning with a Barre workout. It felt so good to work my muscles to the point of shaking after not fitting in anything since Tuesday.
I then cleaned the whole house. We’re talking vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, sheets on the bed…the works. It was much needed after being away from the house so much.
I ventured out Saturday afternoon to run a few errands. While out and about I finally picked up a few of these Luna bars at Target. They.are.delicious! Heather was right, she promised not to steer me wrong! Thanks, girl!
John arrived home Saturday evening after a day of skeet shooting with the groom and groomsmen. We had a lovely low-key night in catching up on The Blacklist.
We began the day with church, followed by an early afternoon at the tennis courts. John had a match to make up that’d been rained out earlier in the week.
Y’all. The weather! It was glorious!!! So warm and sunny. I’m crossing my fingers this little spring preview is here to stay. Who am I kidding…totally wishful thinking.
We spent the rest of the afternoon running around gathering things we’ll need for the upcoming wedding weekends. I’m having a hard time finding a dress that I like for my sister’s rehearsal dinner. Any suggestions?
We ended the afternoon with grocery shopping, and a some lesson planning for me.
As soon as I schedule this post I’m off to cook up some dinner, – chicken and avocado burritos on the menu for tonight – prep my lunch for tomorrow, and get ready for the week ahead.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
