And just like that, we’re half way (almost!) through the week! I all for cherishing the time we’re given and enjoying each opportunity to the fullest, but I’m not going to lie. There are some weeks when I just love it when the weekdays fly by!
Because I love Day in the Life type posts (and I’m hoping you do too!), I’m sharing yet another such post today. And, since today happens to also be What I Ate Wednesday, you’ll see some of my eats throughout the day as well. In no way is what I’m sharing every single morsel I put into my mouth, but you’ll definitely get the gist. 😉
Let’s get to it, shall we?
5:20 am – Wake up and head straight to the bathroom. I almost always wake up needing to immediately pee. TMI? Sorry. I get a little reading in while waking up.
6 am – start the whole shower hair, make-up, dressing routine.
6:40 am – Head to the kitchen to prep breakfast for John – yogurt with fruit and granola today + milk. I then get to making my breakfast.
6:50 am – leave for work
7:05 am – arrive at work, sign in, check my mailbox, grab coffee, chat with a co-worker, and head back to my classroom to make sure things are ready to go for the day
7:40 am– forgot to eat breakfast! Scarf it down while checking last minute e-mails.
7:45 am – Kids come in and we begin the day
9:15 am – kiddos off to PE. I get copies made and begin preparing for next week. I neeevver work this far ahead, but since I’ll be gone all weekend long this weekend, and am taking off next Friday for my sister’s wedding, I’ve got lots to prepare.
9:55am – Pick up the kids from PE and teach away
11:43-12:06pm -Lunch! My appetite has been oddly off over the past day or 2. But, oh well, gotta eat when I can. Another lunchbox full of tupperware. On the menu today: Pesto + turkey + veggies bagel sandwich with crackers and a Kashi dark chocolate and oats cookie.
12:06-3:15pm – Work away
3:40pm – leave work and swing by Publix only find out they were out of what I needed. Boo. Then stopped for gas and to drop off a check.
4:20pm – Grab a snack of my new favorite bar – Chocolate Cupcake Luna Bar. Work on John’s anniversary gift while throwing some laundry in the wash.
5pm- Barre3 workout
6pm – John gets home and we chat for a bit before I begin writing this post.
6:30 pm – Make a study guide that I forgot to make earlier. Finding perimeter is fun stuff, y’all.
7 pm – Pack my lunch for Wednesday and begin preparing dinner. Tonight is an old stand-by and a go-to during busy weeks…salsa chicken!
7:40 – Hop in the shower quickly. Makes for a little later morning the next day, which is always nice.
8 pm – Get dinner all plated up and sit down to eat while watching the latest episode of Fixer Upper. LOVE! Unpictured: a salad topped with feta, veggies, and almonds. Mmm!
9:20 – grab a little snack of trail mix. Yep, still my nemesis, and still loving the sweet & salty combo. Many of you asked last week, and this trail mix is Publix’s Sweet and Nutty mix. Deeelish. I highly recommend it.
9:50 – Oops. Forgot to iron my outfit for today. Get that done before stashing dinner dishes in the dishwasher and picking up.
10:10 – Head off to wash my face, brush teeth, and get in bed.
10:30 – I read a bit while John gets ready for bed.
10:45 – Lights out and (hopefully) to sleep soon!
And there you have it, friends! A pretty typical day in the life. Gees…I feel like it was way busier, but looking back on it, maybe it wasn’t? Does that ever happen to you?

2. Do you like to shower at night or in the morning. Up until recently I’ve always been a morning shower-er. But, lately, I’ve been loving my nighttime showers. No hair drying and a later wake up time is a win-win in my book!
