Hi friends! How’s your hump day treating you so far?
Since I actually remembered to take a few photos yesterday, I’m taking the opportunity for another Day in the Life post. And because some of my photos documented yesterday’s eats, I figured I’d participate in What I Ate Wednesday, too!
The following eats are not ALL I ate throughout the day. There were undocumented handfuls and snacks, but…you get the gist.
5:30-Alarm goes off and I’m out of bed for showering, hair-doing, make-up-applying, and clothes-ironing, and dressing.
Ahhh…and after. Much better!
6:30 – to the kitchen to prepare John’s breakfast and mine.
7:10 –arrive at work to sign-in, make a few copies, visit with co-workers, grab some coffee, and scarf down breakfast before the kiddos enter for the day.
Oats + PB + berries + a BIG ole coffee. Totally necessary.
7:45-11:43 teach, teach, teach
11:43-12:06 – Lunch, finally. I was staaaaaarving yesterday! Sorry no pictures. I’m pretty sure my students would look at me really weird if I whipped out my phone at lunch to snap a picture.
12:06-3:00 – teach, teach, teach – math…not my fave.
3-3:45 – organize the stacks of paper I’ve accumulated throughout the day, pick up the room, and prepare morning work for the kids tomorrow morning
4:10 – arrive home in time for a snack and catch the tail end of The Ellen Show. Mila Kunis was her guest. Y’all, she is so adorable!! I’d totally hang out with her for the day.
4:55-5:40 – 40 minute Barre3 workout + some stretching
Mismatch socks for the win!
6:15 – quick trip to the grocery store to grab a few things I forgot over the weekend
6:30 – hubby finally arrives home, and we catch up on the day for a bit
7 – prep Salsa Chicken and Rice for dinner. Yum! One of our go-to’s, and my pick tonight because a)it’s easy b) it’s quick c) I had all the ingredients. I make my lunch for tomorrow as it’s baking.
8- Dinner + TV on the couch with the husband. We catch up on an episode of Blacklist and Fixer Upper (I’m hoping! I’m typing this before we ACTUALLY watch it.)
9:30 – snack of trail mix. Mmm!
10- wash face, brush teeth, lay out clothes for the morning
10:30 – in bed
11- finally asleep. Just in time to wake up and do it all over again.
And that’s pretty much a typical work day for me, give or take.
